Referrals can be emailed to admin@labyrinthpsychology.com

Please ensure that the referral letter clearly states the specific number of sessions you are requesting for the client.

Who We Do + Do Not Accept Referrals For

Our clinic primarily treats clients aged 18 years and older.

We do not routinely accept referrals for children or teens.

Children and Teens

Referrals for children and teens
will be considered on an individual basis depending on the client’s needs.

Parents

Referrals for patients who are seeking support with emotion focused parenting skills are welcome.

Dads + Non-birthing Parents

Referrals for mothers + non-birthing parents effected by birth trauma or experiencing difficulty adjusting to parenthood are welcome.

First Responders
+
Medical Professionals

Referrals for first responders (e.g., police officers, paramedics, fire fighters) and medical professionals experiencing acute or chronic stress responses or burnout are welcome.

Eating Disorders
+
Eating Disorder Management Plans


We do not currently have a therapist who has completed the eating disorders credentials process.

As such, if your patient’s primary difficulty is related to an eating disorder, disordered eating, or appearance concerns, a referral to this clinic should should only be considered in situations where your patient is unable to access treatment with a specialist eating disorder clinic.

If your patient needs psychological support whilst on a waiting list for specialist treatment or you believe for any other reasons that your patient would benefit from treatment with a Labyrinth Psychology clinician specifically, please provide adequate detail in your referral which will be assessed on a case by case basis.

We do not currently provide:

  • group therapy

  • couple therapy

  • family therapy unrelated to an eating disorder

We do not provide treatment where any of the following factors are present/active:

  • family court involvement

  • child protection involvement

  • other serious police or forensic involvement

  • workcover or other work-related insurance claim that is directly related to the reason for referral
