FOUNDER + CLINICAL PSYCHOLOGIST

Dr Ebonnie Landwehr

SHE / HER

Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) Registration Number: PSY0002172283

  • I am a Clinical Psychologist with lived experience of late-diagnosed neurodivergence (AuDHD) and I am passionate about providing mental health treatment that empowers people to enjoy a life that aligns with their values and aspirations.

I am currently the Secretary of the Australian Psychological Society ADHD Peer Interest Group.

  • My approach to psychological treatment is highly individualised, collaborative, and evidence-based. I provide genuinely trauma-informed and neurodivergent-affirming therapy and coaching that incorporates therapeutic techniques from interventions such as cognitive-behavioural, metacognitive, schema, interpersonal, mentalisation-based, attachment, psychodynamic, and acceptance and commitment therapies. I value creating a therapeutic relationship that fosters safety to explore and express inner experiences while also providing practical strategies and problem-solving skills that allow my clients to create and maintain the change they seek in their lives.

  • I have provided therapy and skills training to people for a range of difficulties including complex trauma, PTSD, executive dysfunction, extreme perfectionism (OCPD), anxiety, depression, alexithymia, birth trauma, adjustment to parenthood, and emotion-focused parenting psychoeducation. I also support individuals who are neurodivergent with learning how to understand, accept, and work with their neurodivergence rather than ‘treating’ it.

I have worked with children, adolescents, and adults delivering psychological support across settings such as inpatient and outpatient women’s health, outpatient children’s health, child and adolescent trauma in the community, forensic services, and private practice. In addition to having taught undergraduate and postgraduate psychology, I have conducted research within police, healthcare, and aged care industries, as well as publishing academic studies.

Prior to becoming a psychologist I worked many, many jobs which has given me an appreciation of multiple fields and industries. My jobs were wildly different, from analyst to stablehand. I have experience working within policing in non-clinical roles that involved case work, and so have some first hand insight regarding the issues faced by first responders in law enforcement.
